The KO Count Blackjack System
Card counting
Thank to Edward Thorp, we know the strategy for card countingtoday; and thanks to many professional blackjack players we have a lot of various counting system to choose from. One of such systems is KO Count (Knock Out counting) which is the system of the first level of difficulty and which is recommended for new comers though it is more complicated than Hi-Lo Countfor example.
Card counting
The main difference between KO Count and other counting system of such a level is the fact KO Count is an unbalanced system: it means that when you start your counting with a zero you will not have a zero at the very end of your count when all cards are dealt from a shoe.
Why is it so? Let's have a look!
Card Values
When you use KO Count blackjack system, you should add or subtract only 1 point each time a card is dealt from a shoe; do not forget to count also the cards of a dealer and other players, otherwise, you will not be able to finish your counting in a right way. As far as we know, a player is interested in high cards and s/he wants to predict when they are dealt to his/her hand: so, that is why low cards are counted as positive ones (+1) - they increase your chances to get a high card when they are dealt already.
High cards, when they are dealt, decrease your chances to get them as a result: so, that is why they are counted as negative ones (-1). Some cards are neutral for both a player and a dealer, so, they are counted as (0).
The main thing is to practice much if you are going to use KO Count! You can easily do it at home as well as at some casino by observing the game of other players and counting cards staying at blackjack table.
